LIL Stick refreshes the working edge of pocket knives, EDC blades, and hunting knives with the same controlled, uniform abrasion as the full-size Stick — sized to ride in a pack pocket, a tackle box, or a kill kit. Two surfaces, one tool: the coarser side restores working bite, the finer side refines and cleans the edge. The Every Day Carry version pairs 9 and 30 micron for pocket knife steels; the Hunter pairs 30 and 45 for heavier field blades. No angle to find, no clamps, no belts, no setup. Lay it flat, spine-forward, a few passes per side.

Most pocket knife sharpeners fail for one reason: they ask you to hold a precise angle freehand, in the field, on a small blade. LIL Stick holds the geometry for you. That is the whole idea.

For Hunters
An edge that fades halfway through field dressing is a safety problem, not an inconvenience. The Hunter version (30+45 MIC) brings the bite back in under a minute: shallow passes on the 45 side, a few finishing strokes on the 30, wipe it down, back to work. Note: LIL Stick is a maintenance tool, not a regrinding tool. It keeps a working edge working. A chipped, rolled, or truly dull blade needs a real sharpening — that's what the mail-in service is for.

Questions, Answered
How do I sharpen a pocket knife without a whetstone?
Lay LIL Stick flat, draw the blade spine-forward from tip to heel with light pressure, a few passes per side on the coarser surface, then finish on the finer one. It refreshes the edge without the setup, water, or angle control a whetstone demands.

Which version do I need?
Every Day Carry (9+30 MIC) for pocket knives and finer EDC steels. Hunter (30+45 MIC) for hunting, processing, and heavier field blades. If the knife lives in your pocket, go EDC; if it lives in your pack for the season, go Hunter.

Does it work on hunting knives?
Yes — that's what the Hunter version is for. Drop-point, clip-point, and fillet blades all take the same flat, edge-trailing stroke. For heavy processing blades at the bench, the full-size The Stick Butcher in 45 MIC is the better tool.

Will it sharpen a serrated blade?
No. Serrations need to be serviced tooth by tooth — that's shop work. LIL Stick is for plain edges.

What's the difference between LIL Stick and The Stick?
Size and station. The Stick lives on a kitchen counter and comes in single-grit versions matched to your knives. LIL Stick lives in a pack, a pocket, or a boat, and carries two surfaces — because in the field you only get one tool.

Do I need to hold a sharpening angle?
No. The flat form factor holds the geometry for you. That's the difference between this and the pull-through gadget you already regret buying.
